I’m currently based in Canada where I live with my husband, surrounded by my friends and family in an expansively beautiful prairie landscape. I’m a creative young professional, theatre & TV performer and director, writer and Certified Professional Success Coach. Wherever you may live in the world, I’m on a mission to empower you, as an ambitious young professional or creative to stress less, get out of your own way and create the success you want. I want to make the world sparkle just a little more by helping you to raise your consciousness and become the best version of yourself!
But I didn’t always define success in this way…
From a very young age, I valued accomplishment and I loved the praise of family, teachers and peers. I always pushed myself to prove I was the best, that I was perfect. Success for me was basically the absence of failure. And all of these values and beliefs served me well at the time. I was always the top of my class, winning awards, making projects happen, performing, creating and traveling all over the world. I saw myself as a successful, happy, busy, driven, ambitious and high-performing individual. And the people in my life reinforced all that, marveling at how at how I could do anything!
But five years ago, I was faced with a health crisis that forced me to realize that even though I was “living the dream,” I was really stressed. My fear of failure had me stuck in negative thought patterns and perfectionist tendencies that were leading to unhelpful behaviours and physical symptoms. I was drained and depleted.
My body was screaming at me to slow down. When I ignored it, things got worse and I crashed. Hard.
With much resistance, I started to listen to myself. I reached out for the help of a coach. I invested in my future and created the space for change. I chose to re-evaluate the pace of my life and figure out what was going on underneath all the busyness.
I figured out what was actually important to me and what I really wanted.
I started tuning into my purpose and listening to my body.
I stopped working til late every night.
I started to take days off.
I stopped beating myself up over little things.
I started to meditate.
I actually slowed down a little.
I started to see things from a new perspective.
I created new habits and beliefs that were empowering instead of belittling.
I let go of old resentments.
I started practicing and new more positive way of thinking and of living.
I began to see failure as an opportunity for growth.
I shifted away from blame, shame and judgment to acceptance.
I started to TRUST.
And my body began to heal.
Through the coaching process, I realized that not being crazy busy and productive didn’t make me a less valuable person. I realized that I’m not broken and that I don’t have to do everything to fix myself and be OK.
I realized that I am enough, just the way I am.
I don’t always need to be pushing to do, to fix, to achieve. I can trust in the process of life and know that I am always evolving into a better human being. I no longer need others to confirm this fact. I can open myself up to the notion that there’s enough awesome to go around for everyone. I don’t need to push myself get what I want. I can relax. I can go with the flow.
My wakeup call was truly a gift.
I no longer live in fear of failure, with unhelpful messages running through my head. Instead, I live in my power and vulnerability, spreading joy and love wherever I go! My sentiment of constant joy, well-being and peace, no matter what the circumstances in my life, is absolutely priceless.
Don’t get me wrong, all this change wasn’t easy or comfortable.
There were a lot of setbacks, but with the help of my coach, I kept going.
I now direct big theatre productions, I’m on a national TV show, I create multilingual theatre for kids and adults, I’m happier than I’ve ever been with my husband and with my friendships, I’m spending time with family, I’m traveling all over the world and I’m even learning to speed read! I’m building a successful coaching and speaking business (and hopefully doing yoga teacher training in the next couple of years). All this with a feeling of freedom and ease that I never believed was possible.
And that’s why I’m here today, cheering for you every step of the way, knowing it’s possible for you too. I studied at the top coaching school in North America (iPEC) to become a Certified Professional Coach because I want to share the gift and power of coaching with ambitious young professionals and creatives like you.
If you’re ready, I want to help you let go of stress, get out of your own way and achieve more success in your life, on your own terms and by your own rules. You know, deep down, what success truly means to you and what your vision is of a successful life.
You may feel you don’t know how to get there.
